In a voice class yesterday with vocal coach Cheryl Moore Brinkley she said “Don’ts are not Doable.” I thought that was a pretty great statement for an actor. Especially when given notes from a director. Like: “Don’t put your hands in your pockets.” It would make me hyper-aware of my hands. Giving my hands a “do” seems like a great idea. Something like “Gesture with your hands.” That will keep them out of my pockets but give m something to actually do.
