For February’s “Books I’ve Read On Set” I picked Ten Poems To Change Your Life.
I came across this book while meandering through the shelves of the library. The title lives up to it’s name. (I hate over hyped-titles)
It’s from this book that I came across my all time favorite lines from a poem by Antonio Machado.
Last night as I was sleeping,
I dreamt- marvelous error!-
that I had a beehive
here inside my heart.
And the golden bees
were making white combs
and sweet honey
from my old failures.
The two poems that stand out the most in this collection are “Last Night as I Was Sleeping” by Mexican poet Antonio Machado, and “The Journey” by Mary Oliver.
“Ten Poems To Change Your Life”, by Roger Housden.
