The Leg Infection I Ignored to Be ‘Easy to Work With’ on a Horror Movie | 🎥 Behind-The-Scenes

A cautionary tale of people-pleasing, pride, and a very bad leg.

⚠️ TW: Medical gore / surgical ickiness ahead.
🎥 Film: The Soviet Sleep Experiment
🩵 Starring: One very committed actor and his full-leg bruise

Method Acting or Medical Malpractice? You Decide.
Actors do dumb things in the name of “the craft.” Exhibit A: Me.

While filming The Soviet Sleep Experiment, I had a raging leg infection. I told no one. I just limped through scenes like it was a character choice. Which… I guess it was. Just not a smart one. My leg? Fully purple. Not metaphorically. Literally.

Fast-forward to the ER where the doctor skipped pleasantries and said, “This needs surgery. Immediately.”
And friends—that wasn’t even the worst part. Ever heard of wound packing? Let’s just say: gauze. gets. shoved. inside. And I got to live that reality.

So here’s your behind-the-scenes horror story meets accidental PSA: if your body is screaming, don’t ignore it for the sake of continuity. The limp wasn’t worth the wound packing.
